BASECAMP: The Get-together for environmental activism
Friday 12th July - Sunday 14th July
Hartington, Derbyshire
Join 300 of the most committed environmental activists in Britain on 12-14 July to plan, debate and find solutions to the problems we face.
The very exciting news is that Young FoE have our own space there! And we will be holding a party so come along and join us & other young people to discover more about us and our future!
This isn’t a top-down ‘Conference’. It’s an event developed and run collaboratively between grassroots campaigners and staff, with opportunities to contribute to the agenda at the event itself.
Expect skills workshops, discussions, campaign planning sessions, and access to experts in the midst of some of the most beautiful scenery in Britain. Author/commentator George Monbiot and Paraguayan environmental defender Elias Diaz Pena are amongst the presenters. All this alongside our annual democratic process and prize ceremony for local activism – The Earthmovers Awards.
But most of all this is the opportunity to connect with the network of active, engaged campaigners who aren’t just setting the agenda of the event, but of the wider political scene.
